The EM Acoustics CS Subwoofers deliver outstanding cardioid low-frequency control with a compact, powerful, and flexible passive design requiring only a single amplifier channel. Available in two sizes for both touring and installation use, the CS15 is the smaller model, combining high SPL and exceptional rear rejection in a rugged, compact enclosure.
The CS15 features a front-firing 15” and a rear-firing 12” neodymium LF driver, each in its own acoustically tuned chamber. A sophisticated internal passive crossover links both units to create a consistent cardioid pattern, achieving over 20dB rear rejection while maintaining high output and clarity. This reduces unwanted stage spill and improves overall system accuracy.
The enclosure includes four handles, protective skids, stainless steel grilles with acoustic mesh, an M20 pole mount, 20 M10 flying points, and quick-release flyplates. Standard connectivity is via Neutrik speakON™ connectors, with optional variants available. The passive design allows sub and top speakers to share a single 4-core cable.
Built from premium birch plywood with a weather-resistant polyurethane finish, the CS15 comes in black or white, with RAL colour and enhanced weatherproof options. It requires one DSP-controlled amplifier channel rated at 1000–1600W RMS into 6 ohms. For optimal results, EM Acoustics’ Advanced System Amplifiers are recommended, though other DSP-enabled amps may be used. The CS15 pairs perfectly with EM Acoustics’ medium-sized full-range models such as the R6, R8, R10, EMS-101X, and EMS-126/129.
